Nanci became a first time writer with her autobiographical solo show, “AND BABY MAKES TWO – an adoption tale”. ABMT ran for almost three months at the Santa Monica Playhouse in the fall of 2007. It was nominated for the prestigious 2009 SUSAN SMITH BLACKBURN PRIZE and was published by powerhouse SAMUEL FRENCH, INC. in November 2009. After doing a reading of ABMT in Paris, France (July 2008) at Theatre d’Aire Falguiere, a French translation was done with a French production planned starring Beatrice Agenin. Nanci dedicated ABMT to her beautiful son, Joshua Brandon Neidorf, and his selfless birth mother, Elizabeth Sample Zufelt. Throughout the run of the play and a benefit reading in November 2008 Nanci also raised over $15,000.00 for adoption charities and The American Liver Foundation. She is also a member of THE DRAMATISTS GUILD OF AMERICA.
SUGAR & STILETTOS is Nanci’s new passion. What began as her next play has now morphed into a movement! There is the baking club, a book and an annual bake sale to benefit a local charity in the works, this website and soon-to-be blog, not to mention a future filled with Sugar & Stilettos accessories (aprons, gloves, mugs, notepads, post-its, t-shirts, dish towels, potholders, paper party goods and so much more). Stayed tuned as the wild and wonderful S & S world expands!
Other things of interest…Nanci is a confirmed Francophile having lived in Paris, France for almost a year. She absolutely never turns down a French pastry of any kind…OH LA LA! She also was a competitive figure skater as a child/adolescent training with the great Frank Carroll (Linda Fratianne, Michelle Kwan, Evan Lysacek, Mirai Nagasu). After twenty years off the ice Nanci got back on and started competing again as an adult earning her Adult United States Figure Skating Gold Medal among many competition medals and trophies (Her favorite was winning the West Coast Adult Championships one year skating to Peggy Lee’s “Fever” – see photo).
Nanci lived in NYC for five and half years and Berkeley, CA. for four years…graduating from UC Berkeley with a BA in Social Sciences/Early Childhood Development. She was an involved Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) sorority girl and an Oski Doll (official university hostess - Go Bears!). Nanci is actively involved in NARSAD and STEP UP ON SECOND (organizations that do research for and help the mentally ill) as well as OPERATION MEND at UCLA(helping soldiers going through dramatic reconstructive surgery after serving and being injured in Iraq and Afghanistan).

Nanci’s proudest moments though are that of being Joshua’s mom…Joshua is her wonder boy, the magic in her life…
